Elderflower - Part 1

Oh yeah, finally elder is blooming here! I was already concerned because my mom told me that in Hungary the season is already almost over and here not even started yet. Luckily I have discovered a nice shrub of elder nearby, so I collected some to try them fried. I had some pretty tasteless strawberries in the fridge so I gave them also a chance. I was surprised! They had a very nice flavour, warm and juicy.

Ingredients:
1 egg
100 ml heavy cream
2 tablespoon sugar

4 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
dried chilli

oil for frying

Whisk all ingredients together, flavour with chilli. Dip strawberries and elderflower in the pastry. Deep fry in oil. Serve with powder sugar.
